A Liverpool midfield sensation has confirmed he's joining Man City.

It's going from bad to worse for the Reds at the moment. As Liverpool's rivals take unassailable leads over them in the Premier League table, there are also growing concerns about things happening away from the pitch.

For many years now under Jurgen Klopp Liverpool were not only the place to be because you were guaranteed competing for titles but it was also the place to be to develop as a player.

Klopp created an environment where young players and experienced stars were both able to reach unprecedented heights. He was particularly good integrating those young players into the team and getting the best out of them.

Arne Slot doesn't seem to work like that. He prefers to have an even smaller squad, and he is very reluctant to rotate even when he probably should change his options around.

Ultimately, this will make a lot of young players turn their eyes away from Liverpool. In the past, Liverpool had been able to attract top talents to the club like Rio Ngumoha because they had a huge appeal and a guaranteed pathway into the first-team.

Now that pathway is a lot murkier and as a result, not only is the club unable to attract superstars, they are also facing their own top talents considering their future away from the club.

This is why Joshua Abe, Erik Farkas and Vincent Joseph are all yet to sign scholarship deals with the club. All of them are the subject of interest from other big Premier League and European sides.

It's possible that they could all leave the club and join other teams. Which would be a huge loss considering they are the best academy generation in a while.

One youngster has already left the club and moved to an arch rival.

Liverpool's U15 midfielder Kaylum Moss had been regarded as one of the best players of his generation. He had spent ten years at the club's academy.

However, taking to his Instagram account he confirmed earlier this week that he will be joining Manchester City.

His transfer from Liverpool had to go through a clearance from the FA but had started over the course of the summer.

Now it has finally been passed, and Moss has put pen to paper on a contract at City.

He could be the beginning of a mass exodus at academy level. And this will be as a direct result of decisions taken by Slot at senior level.
