Every single recruitment so far has been focused on that. This is why Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez were signed. They are not just players for the short-term but they are players who could feasibly play for Liverpool for the next decade.

The goalkeeping department has undergone a similar restructure. In Giorgi Mamardashvili the club are bringing in a goalkeeper who they hope will replace Alisson Becker when the Brazilian decides to leave the club.

In case that doesn't work out, Vitezslav Jaros has been sent out on loan to Ajax to continue his development at a top side. Meanwhile, Golden Boy nominee Armin Pecsi has been recruited, who the club very much sees as the future of Liverpool, and as someone with the potential to become a future no.1 in years to come.

But it's not just the players the club are bringing in this summer who are helping to establish a bright future for Liverpool.

The club are working on bringing in exciting new additions in the boardroom and in the coaching staff. That's why Giovanni van Bronckhorst was appointed, and that's why Xavi Valero has been brought in.

Those two are astute additions and it looks like Liverpool are closing in on another one.

According to a report by Boras Tidning in Sweden, Liverpool are closing in on the appointment of Jasper Vallmark as the club's new Scandinavian scout.

Vallmark will not be a familiar name to many people. However, his work over the course of the last few years suggests this could be a genius new addition for Liverpool.

He's been working as a scout and analyst for IF Elfsborg in Sweden since 2019, and over the course of that period the club has grown tremendously.

Always a historic side, Elfsborg have regularly competed in Europe throughout their history. However, when Vallmark had arrived at the club, they had not been able to reach a European spot for over a decade in Sweden.

Through their clever recruitment that curse broke, with Elfsborg not only making the qualifiers for Europe again but also reaching the League Phase of the Europa League last season.

A lot of of the club's success has been credited to Vallmark, who developed his own computer software to identify the club's potential new signings using data he sources from other companies.

During his time, the club has recruited really well both from Scandinavia and Africa, and has been able to sell their recruits on for much bigger profits.

This includes Ahmed Qasem who was sold for a club record €4m fee to Nashville. Other notable recruitments from Vallmark's time include Hákon Rafn Valdimarsson, who was later sold to Brentford, Gustaf Lagerbielke who was sold to Celtic and Timothy Ouma who was sold to Slavia Prague.

All of these players were sold for over €2m, which was a massive profit compared to what the club bought them for.

Meanwhile, a more recent acquisition in Terry Yegbe has attracted the attention of Premier League clubs, including Brighton, Fulham and Crystal Palace, and he could be on the move this summer.

Vallmark's track-record looks genius on paper and if he can continue this work at Liverpool, the Reds will have another brilliant addition on their hands.
