Liverpool's forward looked to be on the comeback but he's out injured again.

Injuries have definitely played a big part in how Liverpool’s season has gone so far. There are other reasons too, but saying injuries haven’t mattered just wouldn’t be true.

It’s not even about the number of injuries - it’s more about who’s been missing and for how long. Losing key players for big stretches has really hurt the team.

Arne Slot hasn’t had much luck either, with constant setbacks making it tough to put out a full-strength line-up, especially in attack.

At this point, injuries could end up defining the entire season. Missing those key players has dragged Liverpool into a battle much lower in the table than anyone expected.

There’s now a real chance they miss out on Champions League football. Even fifth place isn’t guaranteed a spot anymore, and Liverpool aren’t exactly pushing hard for fourth or fifth right now, sitting sixth and struggling to build momentum.

To make matters worse one of the club's forwards who could have helped the club out is out once again for a considerable period.

Currently, Alexander Isak is out for the foreseeable future which has led to a lot of the burden of scoring falling on Hugo Ekitike's shoulders.

The Frenchman is still young and he's done well in Isak's absence, but he would clearly benefit from a rest.

The problem is that right now Slot doesn't really have anyone else to call upon in order to play that no.9 role.

That problem looked to have been fixed with the return of Jayden Danns.

Danns is well liked by Slot. He is extremely highly rated by the club's coaching staff and he is a bit of a cult hero amongst the fans.

Any player who averages a goal every 69 minutes he spends on the pitch for the first team and played a key part in a Wembley League Cup triumph against Chelsea, will be very well liked by the fans. Especially, a boyhood fans, who is also a scouser.

However, he has been plagued by injuries over the course of the last season and a half.

This has seen him miss most of the season so far.

And he looked to be coming back, easing himself into U21 training and then making an appearance against Manchester City in the Premier League 2.

But that come-back was short lived, Danns was forced off the pitch after just over half an hour with a hamstring problem.

Now This is Anfield report that he has picked up yet another injury and a further set-back.

They claim that Danns will now miss a further three to four weeks as precaution while he attempts to regain his fitness.

It's terrible timing for the young man. Danns just can't catch a break at the moment.

We hope he's back and free of injury problems as soon as possible.
