Ex-club owner makes wild Alexander Isak claim to reveal the TRUTH about his injury
Liverpool have been a main topic of conversation for most football fans this season.
Second season syndrome often only comes for recently promoted teams but this term, Liverpool seem to be having their own version under Arne Slot.
The Dutchman was a breath of fresh air for the Anfield outfit last term but this time around, things just haven't gone to plan.
Players such as Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate have been miles off the pace and without them at their best, other teams such as Arsenal have managed to create a 10-point gap between the Anfield outfit and the top flight title.
Of course, the second half of the 2025-26 season is just around the corner but after the recent injury update that emerged about Alexander Isak, things could be about to go from bad to worse for Slot and his men with Simon Jordan now sharing his thoughts on the situation.
Simon Jordan says Alexander Isak's Liverpool injury is 'karma'
The way that Isak went about his Liverpool transfer was completely wrong.
He refused to play for Newcastle which resulted in the Sweden international training alone and completely missing out on pre-season which meant that he got off to a rather slow start at Anfield.
This was far from ideal and although Liverpool's fans are happy that he's joined, Jordan couldn't help himself from aiming a sly dig at the striker while live on talkSPORT.
“I’m desperately trying to avoid myself disappearing into the ghost of Jacob Marley, and looking at the karma of Alexander Isak’s position in terms of not landing at Liverpool and achieving very much,” he said.
“He now potentially finds himself out for the season. I’m desperately trying to avoid that version of myself.
“I don’t want anyone breaking their legs, but I also look at the dynamics of how people behave and think, sometimes, that what goes around comes around. That’s mean-spirited, I know.”
Alexander Isak must return from his injury stronger
The fact that Liverpool spent over Β£400 million in the summer transfer window was a cause for celebration for most fans.
Many thought that the Anfield outfit would be close to unstoppable, especially with the form that Isak and Salah were in last season.
Nothing seems to have gone right for the striker since his Liverpool move and unless he manages to come back from his injury with a bang, he could end up being seen as one of the flops of the season.
Although he hasn't had much of an impact on the way things have panned out at Anfield this term, over the last couple of games, it finally felt like he was getting into a decent rhythm and that Liverpool's fans were finally set to see the best of their record signing.
There's still plenty of time for him to come good but if he doesn't manage to prove his worth upon his return, some may start to question why he was even bought in the first place.
