Liverpool star MISSES training with injury concern

Injury concerns are there at Liverpool as one star misses training with his international team. A problem for the Reds.

Liverpool have had a few injury concerns of late. The season is now firmly underway, after all, and that's leading to some problems.

Alisson Becker is undoubtedly the headline here. The Brazilian couldn't face Chelsea after picking up an injury against Galatasaray and Arne Slot confirmed he'd be out until at least post-international break.

We'll just have to wait and see if it's any longer than that. Alisson, of course, has never had the best luck when it comes to injuries.

Hugo Ekitike also went off early in that Galatasaray game, while Andy Robertson appeared to have a problem after the Chelsea defeat. Wataru Endo is another with an issue - Japan left him out of their squad for this break.

Ibrahima Konate's problem

Ibrahima Konate is a very uncertain one right now. In fact, there are mixed reports over his injury.

But we do know he has an injury. It's why he was removed from the Chelsea game, with Slot confirming afterwards that there was a thigh issue.

However, France still called Konate up and he was set for a scan on Monday. Things actually sounded quite positive but Le Parisien reports that the defender missed training this week.

That's certainly concerning. Liverpool need Konate fit but it sounds as though he's got a genuine problem here and one that might keep him out.

Our biggest concern right now is that France decide to play him in either of their fixtures. They took for him a reason, after all, and it increases his chances of injury.

Liverpool cannot afford to lose Konate for any extended period of time. Not after Giovanni Leoni's injury cut them to just three senior options at centre-back.
