FSG face supporters WRATH over superstar player trade
FSG are known for creating chaos wherever they go. As a sizeable conglomerate, the work they do at each of their assets is constantly scrutinised in case one company is favoured or prioritised.
Liverpool fans have often felt as though the Boston Red Sox are looked at in a more favourable way than the Reds. When finances are limited, it's understandable that tough decisions will be made.

As such, the club has been frugal over the last few years while FSG have spent plenty elsewhere.
But now that Liverpool are Premier League winners, the opportunity of building on the foundations laid by Arne Slot's success is too good to ignore. A lot of money is going to be spent on new players.
Plenty of these funds is coming from the club's internal revenue streams, that are likely to be at an all-time high, but FSG might dip into their own purse to ensure that the deals get across the line.
Meanwhile, there is outcry over in Boston after FSG sanctioned a controversial player trade.
John Henry's attention is on Liverpool, for now
According to Reuters, the Boston Red Sox have traded Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants in a deal that will enable FSG to secure five players in return, although the move has created controversy.
28-year-old Devers was a three-time All-Star and in January 2023, he signed a 10-year extension to his deal, which was worth a whopping $313.5m. Now the remaining $250m will be paid by the Giants.
Quite simply, it seems as though this move was a business decision from FSG, for the benefit of their conglomerate, but for the fans of the Red Sox, it was a disastrous choice that may well prove costly.
Some fans of the baseball team have looked further into the decision and contemplated that Liverpool's £116m ($157.8m) move for Florian Wirtz could be one of the reasons for taking the remaining $250m outlay for Devers off their books. The Reds might now be FSG's main priority.
Of course, Liverpool fans will have sympathy for the Red Sox fans, after a few years of missing out on transfer opportunities because they were 'too expensive', but now we can revel in our success.
Furthermore, claims that Liverpool will be prioritised might not be wide of the mark. MLBScoops on X posted earlier today that 'sources have indicated that John Henry and co. will be prioritising Liverpool Football Club for the time being.'
As such, beyond the £200m that Liverpool are set to have spent so far this summer on deals for Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, we could see another splurge in the next months.
Other positions in Arne Slot's squad are in need of recruitment and there will be no financial concerns to consider this time around. FSG are seemingly willing to sign whoever we need.

The wrath FSG will receive from supporters will be significant, but it won't be from Merseyside.
