Report is clear: There's a CRISIS waiting for Liverpool
Liverpool have a crisis waiting for them. A report has made that perfectly clear.
Liverpool return to UEFA Champions League action tonight as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. It's their third European fixture of the season, with the Reds having beaten Atletico Madrid and fallen to Galatasaray thus far.
They essentially need to beat Frankfurt if they're to stand a truly solid chance of finishing in the top eight. Especially with Real Madrid heading to Anfield next.
But that's easier said than done. Liverpool are in rotten form, having lost four on the bounce for the first time in over a decade.
The big hope was that playing Manchester United at home was the perfect way to correct the run and get the positivity back, generate some momentum again. Instead, things turned as toxic as ever after yet another defeat.
Losing to Frankfurt would be an enormous blow to Liverpool. Even a draw would disappoint. Fortunately, the Reds aren't the only team heading into this one with a poor run of form.
Frankfurt in crisis
Bild makes it clear that Frankfurt are struggling badly right now. They've got the worst defensive record in the entire Bundesliga, while they name four players as being in a crisis.
Kauã Santos, Hugo Larsson, Robin Koch and Nnamdi Collins are the players mentioned. Larsson is a particularly notable one as he was one of the most sought-after midfielders around in 2025.
But nothing is going right for Frankfurt. They've conceded an incredible 18 goals in seven Bundesliga games - a rate that suggests Liverpool must find a goal or two in Germany.
In truth, the Reds couldn't ask for more than this. They're in desperate need of a win and they'll be up against a team truly in crisis and struggling to compete.
Lose this and Liverpool will be in the middle of their worst crisis for some time, in fact. It's inconceivable- especially when the Reds boast Hugo Ekitiké, signed from Frankfurt in the summer.
