Arne Slot hands Liverpool audition to TWO young stars
Liverpool’s youth and academy sector continues to produce high-quality players.
Current first-team stars including Curtis Jones, Caoimhin Kelleher, Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley have all worked their way through the various age groups to become Premier League title winners.

And there are more in the pipeline. Rio Ngumoha, Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo have been in and around the first-team picture this season, while Jayden Danns will be hoping for even more involvement once he recovers from injury.

The Reds opted to send several youth and academy players out on loan for the season and there have been some success stories.
The pick of the bunch has arguably been Ben Doak, although a bad injury curtailed the Scot’s campaign on loan at Middlesbrough back in February.
Another player who has done exceptionally well at Championship level is Owen Beck - who has starred on loan for Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old Welshman made 24 appearances in the second tier, scoring once, but like Doak he suffered a hamstring injury which cut his season short.
Doak and Beck earn Arne Slot audition
Plans for those two are currently up in the air as they work their way back to fitness but it’s now been reported that Doak and Beck are set for an audition in pre-season under head coach Arne Slot.
The Premier League champions are planning a summer trip to the Far East and right now it looks like Doak and Beck will be among the travelling party.
That’s according to Liverpool academy journalist Lewis Bower, who claims that Slot has asked to be kept in the loop about the winger and left-back’s development.
Slot asks for feedback on Doak and Beck
“I was told that Slot only personally asked for two players to be reported back to him in depth,” he told Anfield Index. “Both Doak and Beck will get a chance in pre-season before any decisions are made, but there will be heavy interest in both players.”
Doak, 19, has been tipped to make a summer transfer with a clutch of Premier League clubs chasing his services. However, Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes could opt to keep him around in order to provide cover for Mohamed Salah.
Big changes at left-back
Beck, meanwhile, was linked with Sheffield United earlier in the season but according to Bower he could end up in the first-team picture at Anfield next season.

“We could potentially see Owen Beck get an opportunity in the squad due to the struggles at left-back,” he said.
Andy Robertson has endured a difficult campaign and is expected to be REPLACED as first-choice next season. Milos Kerkez and Jorrel Hato are reported to be among the candidates to come in. Kostas Tsimikas, meanwhile, looks set to be sold.
