Liverpool contract rebel STILL hasn't given Richard Hughes an answer
Liverpool spent most of this season fretting over contract renewals for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
Happily for the Reds’ sporting director Richard Hughes, new terms were agreed with both Van Dijk and Salah - extending their stays at the club until 2027.

Alexander-Arnold has been lost - likely to Real Madrid - but two out of three ain’t bad. It doesn’t get any easier for Hughes or head coach Arne Slot as they attempt to build their squad for next season and beyond.

Conor Bradley has provided a boost - extending until 2029 - but there is uncertainty elsewhere over several first-team stars.
Liverpool contract problems
Fears are growing over Ibrahima Konate, who is out of contract in 2026 and has significant transfer interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. If no new deal is agreed then the 25–year-old defender could be sold this summer.
There are further doubts over Luis Diaz, with the Colombian winger and the club far apart over their valuations regarding a new deal.
Diaz, 28, is out of contract in 2027 and is currently reported to earn £55,000 per week. It’s been previously reported that Liverpool planned contract talks with Diaz at the end of the season - with the winger ready to ask for £140k to £150k per week.
But in an item concerning Barcelona’s transfer interest in Diaz it’s been claimed that the South American is already leaving the club hanging in contract talks.
Diaz keeps Liverpool hanging on
Relevo reveals that Liverpool have put a contract offer on the table for Diaz - but he and his representatives are yet to respond in a positive manner.
“Díaz has a renewal offer from Liverpool on the table, but are still awaiting a response to extend his contract with the Reds beyond 2027, when his contract expires,” the report reads.
Diaz has attracted interest from Barcelona as well as plenty of clubs in Saudi Arabia. His representatives are reported to have asked AC Milan for £140k per week in preliminary discussions earlier this season.

The longer this situation drags on, the closer Diaz gets to his contract ticking down. Hughes has got a decision to make and fast over Diaz, with his €80m valuation likely to plummet after this summer.
