Liverpool have completed a second scouting mission of a club. Their plan has become that bit more clearer.

Liverpool are in the process of figuring out their January transfer plans. Or at least, finalising what they'll do.

And there's certainly a need to do something. The Reds have endured an awful few months as their team quite clearly doesn't click together in a way that drives results.

The easiest way to change that is with more signings, of course. That's a lot more routine than blowing it all up by sacking Arne Slot. It's why the Dutchman has felt reasonably secure in his position ahead of the window.

But even if Liverpool's form wasn't poor, they'd still need to get something done. Giovanni Leoni's injury leaves them short at the back, while Mo Salah's future couldn't be less certain - and they've got no one to back him up properly.

Liverpool's scouting mission

Liverpool were reported last week to have scouted Midtjylland in their 6-0 win over Nordsjælland. It's an interesting one, given the quality of young talent with the club.

Exactly who Liverpool were watching was less clear. A few names were suggested, one of which was Franculino Djú. The striker scored twice in the win to continue his dominant season - one that's generating a lot of hype across Europe.

Though, it now looks less likely that he's 'the one'. Liverpool were back at Midtjylland on Thursday evening, watching them beat Genk 1-0.

Franculino didn't play in that one because of an injury and, per Bold, that was enough for Bayern Munich to skip the game. They've been quite clearly scouting the striker - when he wasn't fit, they weren't interested.

That wasn't the case for Liverpool, who scouted the game even with his absence. Campo suggest the Reds have their eyes on different Midtjylland players, such as Darío Osorio, Aral Şimşir and Mikel Gogorza.

Possible signings next month, then? Liverpool are certainly devoting plenty of time to watching them.
