Liverpool closing in on signing one of the fastest players in the world
One of the fastest players in the world is closing in on a transfer to Liverpool.
Arne Slot's team has been brilliant this season winning the Premier League but there are still areas where they can improve.

One of those areas is adding an injection of speed into the team. Liverpool have fast players. Dominik Szoboszlai and Luis Diaz among them.
But there is no player in the team who is really fast. Mohamed Salah used to be that player but his speed has waned over the years - while the rest of his qualities have only become better.
In order to evolve, it's becoming increasingly obvious that Slot wants to add faster players to his squad and Liverpool's first arrival through the door could be exactly that.
So much has been said about Jeremie Frimpong already. What is clear is that Liverpool are closing in on a deal to bring him to the club.
David Ornstein in The Athletic has claimed that Liverpool are advancing in talks to sign the Dutch international.
The report claims that Leverkusen are aware of the deal and expect the deal to go over the line quite quickly after their final game of the Bundesliga season this weekend.

Why Jeremie Frimpong is one of the fastest players in the world right now
So much has been said about Jeremie Frimpong. He's a player who is among the best in the world in his position and there are some question marks about his defending, this shouldn't be an issue.
Especially, because he's an incredibly fast player. And it's something that has gone under the radar amid talks of his Liverpool transfer.
From a young age. He's been one of the fastest players in the academy set-up in England.. This was something Manchester City's academy coach Paul Harsley highlighted five years ago when Frimpong caught the eye for his side against Everton in the Premier League 2.
“I think he [Frimpong] gave him [Galloway] a great game. He caused him loads of problems with his pace," Harsley told Manchester City's official website.
“We said before the game that there's no one as quick as Jeremie, and he caused someone with good experience and who’s several years older than him quite a lot of problems, so I was pleased he got his goal in the end."
Now this season, he has clocked a top-speed of 36.34km/h in the Bundesliga. This ranks him among the top 10 fastest players in the competition and it's a top-speed that is faster than the likes of Alphonso Davies (36.24km/h) and Karim Adeyemi (36.18km/h).
If we are looking at UEFA statistics, only three players have clocked a higher top speed than Frimpong this season in the Champions League.
Those three players are Achraf Hakimi (36.9km/h), Erling Haaland (36.6km/h) and Kylian Mbappe (36.4km/h).
The fact that Frimpong's top speed is so close to Mbappe just shows you how fast he really is. For context Virgil van Dijk clocked Liverpool's fastest top speed this season as per UEFA which was at 34.9km/h.
So Liverpool would instantly have a new fastest player in the team and not just that but also one of the fastest in the world right now who is up there with the likes of Haaland and Mbappe.
