Liverpool begin talks to sign PERFECT forward
Liverpool have entered talks to sign an exciting forward this summer.
Despite the arrival of Florian Wirtz, who can play as a no.9, the Reds will still be very keen to replace Darwin Nunez with a forward and bolster Arne Slot's options.

Who that forward will be remains to be seen. Liverpool's sporting director Richard Hughes is certainly exploring his options at the moment.
There are several options on the table for the Reds.
One of those are the lofty ambitious options like Alexander Isak and Julian Alvarez. Both of those will be difficult to pull off, with perhaps the latter the more likely.
Then there are options like Hugo Ekitike, who is a brilliant forward, but who comes at a massive transfer fee.
And thirdly there are the raw gems on the market. Rough diamonds who may not be as polished but present great potential in the long-term and who are very affordable.

In this category falls Nick Woltemade. The German international forward is a tall striker with the ability to be a really impactful presence inside the opposition's penalty area.
He's a brilliant finisher, converting 27.27% of his shots (2.13 per 90) into goals. That's a really high percentage and although his sample size is small, there is a promising player there.
A player who may not be a started for Liverpool but who could give Arne Slot's side a different dimension in attack and allow him to switch up the play when needed.
With Wirtz coming in as a false nine and potentially someone like Diogo Jota staying, Woltemade would provide an extra option in attack.
And it looks like this is not just a theory or an opinion from our behalf. Woltemade seems to have attracted the attention of Hughes himself and the Reds.
According to Caught Offside, Liverpool are among several Premier League sides who have begun talks over a potential move for Woltemade with Stuttgart in order to discuss the forward's availability.
With a host of other clubs interested this is going to be a bit of a battle for the German forward. However, he comes reasonably priced at €40m as per a previous report.
That's just around £33.5m which is a bargain fee. Liverpool won't find a better option in the market for that kind of figure.
