Liverpool agree deal to sign a NEW fan favourite

There's going to be a new fan favourite at Anfield very soon.

Some players you are just drawn to because of their infectious energy. These are the players who fans love and want more of in the team.

They are the ones who will work hard on the pitch but have a positive attitude and can pick the team up with their energy when things are going south.

At Liverpool, the Reds have been fortunate to have a lot of those characters over the years. These days the likes of Andy Robertson and Curtis Jones are the ones who light up the mood the most in the dressing room.

In the past, Georginio Wijnaldum and Joel Matip were also well-liked by their teammates. Not to mention James Milner as well.

And now there's going to be a new fan favourite at the club as well in the form of Jeremie Frimpong.

Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Frimpong as confirmed by the club's official website and he's officially became a Reds player on June 1st.

Anfield Watch has been speaking exclusively with Frimpong's former teammate Joe Hardy, who spent a couple of seasons playing alongside the Dutch star at Manchester City.

Hardy also played for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp and he waxed lyrical about Frimpong, predicting that he would become a fan favourite who everyone will love.

"I just know that the time I've had had with Jeremie, he's such a top lad that everyone's gonna gonna fall in love with him. He's really brilliant," Hardy said.

"Day-to-day in the training ground and what he was like in school, he is always having a laugh, he is always having fun. Everyone's always you know, there's always something funny going on when Jeremie is there," Hardy says.

"Anyone that's come into contact with him only speaks good things of him and he's gonna fit straight in.

"He's probably gonna be there after a week, and everyone's gonna be like; 'wow, I feel like he's been here for ages.' He's just a top lad."

This is really exciting for Liverpool. From all the videos of Frimpong and testimonials like this from people who have worked with him closely, you get the impression that he's a very good character.

The kind of character we wrote about at the beginning of this article. Frimpong will bring joy to the dressing room and he'll entertain the fans.
