LFC and adidas start 10-year partnership with stunning new kits
LFC legends past and present have come together to celebrate the launch of the Reds’ eagerly anticipated new home and away kit, designed by new club partner adidas. The reuniting of Liverpool FC and adidas, two global sporting icons, was confirmed back in March and now fans get to officially see and purchase the new kits for the very first time.
First team players including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Ceri Holland and Curtis Jones are joined in an Alice in Wonderland inspired launch video, alongside club legends such as Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher.
The home and away kits are available to purchase today on LFC’s official online store, in official LFC stores (UK and Internationally) and the LFC Retail App for delivery. As with previous seasons, the club is offering a 10 per cent discount off the price of the home and away shirt to All Red Members and season ticket holders.
This is the third time LFC has worn the three stripes during its illustrious history – first from 1985-1996 and again from 2006-2012. Each period delivered its own defining moments, including three top-flight domestic league titles and three FA Cup wins, accompanied by memorable adidas kits.
The latest designs combine adidas’ cutting-edge performance technology with a deep respect for LFC’s heritage, reimagining what it means to wear the Liver Bird. Both jerseys will be available in a short-sleeve and long-sleeve version, giving fans more choice than ever before.
The home shirt features a clean all-red colourway, with crisp white adidas three stripes down the sleeves and a modern crew neck collar. While the away top is a nod to classic LFC away shirts, featuring an off-white base with bold black and red detailing.
The Liver Bird is framed within a shield, a design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s original Main Stand, from 1892.
On the reverse of both jerseys, the 97-emblem encased by the eternal flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck.
If supporters would like to honour Diogo Jota by having ‘Diogo J. 20’ printed on the back of their shirts in official club stores or via our official online store, as well as adidas in-store or online (where regionally offered), all profits will go to LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity. The Foundation has committed to creating a grassroots football programme in Diogo’s name.
Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at LFC, said: “This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas. Since announcing the partnership in March, there’s been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come.”
Sam Handy, GM at adidas Football, said: “The return of adidas to Liverpool FC is a momentous occasion for us. Seeing our iconic three stripes adorning Liverpool FC kits again is something we’re incredibly proud of. The Home jersey is a true representation of the Liverpool DNA – classy and understated, while the Away jersey pays homage to the club’s rich history with a unique crest inspired by the original Anfield stadium. I speak on behalf of everyone at adidas when I say this is just the start of an incredible journey and we’re extremely excited for what’s to come.”
The men’s first team will debut the new home kit during the pre-season doubleheader at Anfield against Athletic Club on August 4 and the new away kit during the Community Shield game against Crystal Palace on August 10. LFC women will wear the new home kit for the first time on September 7 against Everton and the new away kit on September 14 against Leicester City. The shirts will feature the players’ new numbers for the 2025-26 season, which were revealed earlier today.
