All of them have made significant contributions at first team level and the likes of Quansah and Kelleher have also been sold for significant figures.

The club's work continues with a new batch of talent coming through. This summer, the likes of Jayden Danns, James McConnell, Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni will be hoping for an opportunity in particular.

And there are more promising young players waiting on the wings for their opportunities and ready to make the next step in their developments, including two highly rated wonderkids who have now earned a promotion at the club.

Anfield Watch understands Joshua Abe and Erik Farkas have both been promoted to the U18 squad for their preparations this summer.

Farkas and Abe will be eligible to play for the U16s next season and they are not due to sign a scholarship until the 2026/27 season. However, both have caught the eye of the club's youth coaches and have been given a chance to impress at an age-group above.

Abe who is still only 14-years-old has already made his debut for the U18s in a friendly against Connah's Quay, in which he netted during a 6-1 win.

Abe has also been playing for England's U15 national team and catching the eye. In five appearances so far he's averaged 13.33 dribbles per 90 and completed 56.6% of his attempts as per Wyscout.

A pacey right-winger with a wand of a left-foot, the youngster is very highly rated within the club's academy. It was suggested he could leave the club for Chelsea this summer, with the Blues desperate to avenge Ngumoha's loss.

However, Liverpool have stepped in and have made attempts to persuade Abe to stay at the club. Anfield Watch understands these attempts have been successful, for now.

Abe will not be leaving Liverpool this summer and looks unlikely to leave next summer. Instead he will be training with the club's U18 team, and there is now a strong likelihood he will sign a scholarship deal.

Farkas remains of interest to another of clubs in England as well, including Arsenal and Manchester City. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are also very aware of his talent.

With Farkas possessing an EU passport, he could technically leave the club for Germany after he celebrates his 16th birthday.

He is equally highly rated as Abe, and it's expected he will be regularly involved in the U18 side next season. He has no intentions to leave the club either, and is enjoying his football at Liverpool, having been at the academy for close to five years.

Currently Farkas represents England U16 side at international level and has been likened to the likes of Luka Modric and Bernardo Silva due to his creative and technical qualities.

An attacking midfielder, who can also play as a no.8, he was born in Hungary and is currently the fourth Hungarian at Anfield, with Armin Pecsi, Milos Kerkez and Dominik Szoboszlai plying their trade for the club's first team.

Both Farkas and Abe are names to keep an eye on next season. They are very much the future of Liverpool.
