There's a new dawn at Anfield and Bazoumana Toure could be the perfect Liverpool transfer this summer.

It has become apparent during the last few bleary months under Arne Slot that the Reds are missing a key piece of the jigsaw in this new look team.

Richard Hughes went all out to assemble a star studded £450m new cast full of exciting players and particularly exciting attackers.

But one thing that the sporting director did not address was bringing in a wide player with pace and one vs one prowess.

Liverpool missed that in Luis Diaz, who departed for Bayern Munich. And while they made attempts to bring in Antoine Semenyo or Khivcha Kvaratskhelia - these have been to no avail.

So, Hughes' quest will go on and Liverpool will be in the mix for Yan Diomande as their prime target.

But there's another player emerging on the club's radar, who could be the perfect addition in Bazoumana Toure, who according to a recent report is someone Liverpool admire a lot and are lining up a summer transfer move for his services.

With Salah's departure, Liverpool now need not just one but two wingers in order to have a satisfying number of options - especially because Federico Chiesa is likely to depart as well - and there are murmurs of Cody Gakpo being up for sale too...

In the Hoffenheim winger, Liverpool could find the perfect player to evolve the team.

Toure made a name for himself at Hammarby after arriving at the Swedish side from his native Ivory Coast. At Hammarby he made 12 goal contributions in just around 1700 minutes before earning a big move to Hoffenheim.

The Ivorian international is a different type of winger to what Liverpool possess at the moment. And it's not just because Toure has pace - his approach to the game is different.

What Toure thrives at is driving at opponents. He has the best dribble completion rate out of players who average at least 4.5 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga (69%) and he's very good at running down the touchline.

Toure is a left-footed winger who operates predominantly on the left-wing and has always usually done so - even at Hammarby.

He doesn't tend to cut in from the left like Mane and Salah have done in the past. Instead, Toure likes to keep his width and stay close to the touchline - putting in crosses and cut-backs for his strikers.

With Liverpool now having a different profile of a striker compared to Roberto Firmino, who facilitated Salah and Mane, they also need a different profile of a winger.

Toure is this facilitator. He has the fourth most assist in the Bundesliga and averages the second most crosses (5.32 per 90 minutes).

He's the type of player who will continue to make runs down the wings and look to find his teammates inside the box.

It's why Toure is so perfect - the likes of Isak and Ekitike need someone like that, who will provide them with a high volume of chances so they can score a high number of goals.

Now on top of this Toure is also someone who works tirelessly off the ball with great intensity. He has made the most sprints (632) in the Bundesliga this season - and this is with missing several games of the campaign due to being at the African Cup of Nations.

On top of that, Toure ranks second for possession-adjusted interceptions (3.59) and 3.12 recoveries per 90 minutes in the opposition's final third.

He ranks 7th for possessions won in the opposition's final third (1.0 per 90) in the Bundesliga as well.

At just 20-years-old, Toure's metrics are thoroughly impressive and on top of everything Hoffenheim's asking price appears to be only €40m.

For that value, you won't find a more exciting young winger than Toure on the market right now.
