Even opponents are telling Liverpool that they've got a special talent coming through up front. Remember the name.

Liverpool have spent the last few years working hard to snap up the brightest prospects in English football. It's something that Brexit actually fired the starting pistol on - leaving the EU eliminated opportunities to sign the best young players from Europe.

Suddenly, signing elite teenagers meant buying British. Liverpool have since gone on to sign some truly fantastic talents, with Rio Ngumoha arguably the one with the highest ceiling.

But he's far from alone in that. Both Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni were on the pitch against Brighton this weekend - players signed from Chelsea and Leeds United with massive reputations.

The Reds have more coming through, too. One of which could soon be scoring goal in Liverpool's first-team.

Will Wright continues to shine

Will Wright joined Liverpool from Salford City as a 17-year-old in the summer. He did so having already enjoyed senior experience - an FA Cup clash against Manchester City and two League Two appearances.

Naturally, that meant some real hype and it’s fair to say that he’s lived up to it with the youth team thus far. But then, the hype was always going to be high when you’ve scored 40 times in a season at youth level before joining Liverpool.

We’re certainly convinced he’s coming for a first-team place, such are his efforts this season.

Sunday saw Wright get his fifth start for the Under 21s in Premier League 2. It brought both a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over West Bromwich Albion - extending his record to two goals and three assists across those five starts.

Manager Rob Page spoke highly of Wright after the match, saying that even opposition staff notice Liverpool have something special here.

“Even their staff commented on it,” he said, per RedMenTV. "He stands out first and foremost because of his work ethic, and he should never ever lose that.

"I think it’s because of his upbringing, I think it’s because of the levels that he’s done in the hard yards. He’s had to play and fight for every minute on the pitch, and I think that comes out in his game.

"First and foremost, if you’ve got that attitude, you’ve got a chance in the game. There are things to work on within his game and of course, we’ll give him the time, and we see that development in him.

"I’m really pleased with him, and he gets his goal,s and he works so hard for the team, it’s incredible.”

Wright, like Ngumoha and Nyoni before him, does seem destined to get games at senior level. If he continues to take chances like he has been, that’s simply inevitable.
