Despite winning the Premier League last season, the Dutchman’s position in the Anfield dugout is at risk and a managerial change could be on the cards in Merseyside.

It isn’t just on the sideline that things could change though, with several first-team players expected to leave in the upcoming transfer window.

A few key members of the squad could be on the way out too, including one who has only just had their contract extended.

Liverpool starter could leave for European giants

One of the Reds’ most important players, Mohamed Salah, has already announced he will leave Anfield in the summer and a second iconic player could follow him out of the door.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Juventus are very interested in bringing goalkeeper Alisson Becker back to Italy this summer.

The Brazilian shot stopper joined the Reds from AS Roma in 2018 and has been one of the best ‘keepers in world football since.

According to the report it is Juve boss Luciano Spalletti who is the driving force behind the move, with the Italian having managed Alisson at Roma.

Liverpool recently made the decision to trigger the extension in Alisson’s contract, meaning the 33-year-old's deal is due to run until 2027 now, but Juve reportedly believe they could pry the legendary ‘keeper away earlier.

A valuation of around €15-20 million (~£13-17.5m) is mentioned, but it is also claimed that the Italian side will try and strike a deal for less than this price.

Considering it would take considerably more than that figure to find a replacement of Alisson’s quality, it seems unlikely that the Reds would sanction a sale for so cheap.

The team is already in a period of transition, and Alisson’s injury record has proven to be an issue in recent seasons, so it may be the right time to move on from the Brazilian, but the recently triggered contract extension should bolster the fee Liverpool are looking to receive.
