Cristiano Ronaldo drama creates GIGANTIC £1.2m Mo Salah offer

Cristiano Ronaldo has created some serious drama in Saudi Arabia. And it should lead to a gigantic Mo Salah offer.

Cristiano Ronaldo has fallen out with seemingly everybody in the Saudi Pro League. The legendary forward has problems with how the wealth is distributed from the Public Investment Fund, believing it's to Al-Nassr's disadvantage.

It comes after the PIF moved Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad, one of their clubs, to Al-Hilal, another of their clubs. Ronaldo feels the PIF are neglecting his Al-Nassr - another PIF-owned club.

And it's a battle he won't win. Ronaldo, now 41, is not a long-term investment anymore and if he's creating trouble, the Pro League will simply move to replace him.

Of course, few players have the profile to make that possible. But there is one at Liverpool - and an offer is ready.

Mo Salah to the Saudi Pro League

The Mirror reports that the SPL are 'desperate' to replace Ronaldo with Mo Salah. He's been a priority target for them for a while now, with a record-breaking offer made back in 2023.

Liverpool rejected that offer and correctly - Salah would go on to have one of the greatest individual seasons English football has ever seen in 2024/25. But with the Egyptian's form dipping significantly this season and a dispute with Arne Slot fuelling the fire, there's a sense that he may leave the club this summer.

And the PIF are looking to make sure that happens. They're offering to triple Salah's salary, putting him on around £1.2m per week if he heads over there.

Of course, Liverpool would need to accept an offer for this to happen. Salah still has over a year left on his contract - but if he actively wants to leave, we imagine the club would say yes.

He's on enormous wages that only make sense for a player who actively wants to be at the club. So this summer could well be the end, if things continue to head the way they're going.
