Club ready for INCREDIBLE Liverpool deal after Man City example
Liverpool are being sought-out for an incredible transfer deal. It follows an example from Manchester City.
Ibrahima Konate's future is up in the air right now. His contract expires at the end of this season and it's completely unclear if he's going to sign a new one.
Liverpool have tried to get him to renew for around a year now - but with no luck. There's a sense that Konate wants too much money or that he's simply waiting around to see the interest in him.
And there will be interest. Plenty of clubs are after centre-backs right now and Konate is one of the biggest names on the market. He's arguably the biggest.
At least one club is hoping to sign him in January, however. That would be six months ahead of his contract expiring and would require a transfer fee.

But maybe it's a deal worth doing.
Inter chase Konate
Inter reportedly want to sign Konate and they don't want to wait. They're chasing a January transfer.
L'Interista, of the TuttoMercatoWeb network, have doubled down on that claim, reporting that Inter are eager to push forward on this one. They're inspired by the success of Manuel Akanji, who joined on loan from Manchester City this season.
The idea of finding a new player in his prime who can slot into the team and succeed immediately is now their gameplan on the back of the Akanji deal. Now, those signings don't come cheap - unless their contract is expiring.
And so they hope to convince Konate he should move to Inter before agreeing a cut-price fee with Liverpool. We're not sure the latter is particularly realistic, mind, as the Reds are short on centre-backs as it is.
They'd have to sign two at least in order to cover for Konate leaving. That just doesn't feel likely - are their even two good centre-backs available in January?
Konate to Inter, then? Maybe. In January? We're a lot less sure on that one.
