Arne Slot chose to make five changes to his team from their 2-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain and, even though Curtis Jones was taken off at half time due to injury, it was clear that this new style was much needed.

Liverpool actually went on multiple attacks and had most of the possession with players such as Mohamed Salah finally getting back to their best.

However, the Egyptian King isn't the only player who caught the eyes of fans on Saturday.

Rio Ngumoha is the answer to all of Arne Slot's problems at Liverpool

Fans have been begging Slot to give Rio Ngumoha more game time.

Cody Gakpo is obviously the Reds' first-choice left-winger but, since he's been in below average form all season, it's not hard to understand why fans have demanded to see more of Ngumoha.

Every time the winger has been used by Slot, he's always caused problems for the opposition with his dribbling ability among the best in the squad.

For most of the season, Slot has asked his players for quality during one-v-one situations and Ngumoha brings exactly that.

The 17-year-old also managed to net his first goal at Anfield during Saturday's game after he managed to wrong-foot Timothy Castagne and curl the ball into the bottom right corner of the net.

Ngumoha's explosivity is another massive thing that he brings to Liverpool's starting XI as Salah and Gakpo seem to have lost their pace a bit over the last season or so.

He also adds a bit of extra creativity to the team which makes him and almost impossible attacker to contain.

Rio Ngumoha could become Liverpool's new Luis Diaz

Even though Liverpool got a more than decent fee for Luis Diaz in the summer, fans have questioned whether moving him on was the right decision.

Much like Ngumoha, the Colombian loved to take players on and was a perfect winger, especially for the system that Slot used last term.

Indeed, the fact that the Dutchman has chosen to change things this season means that Diaz could've been less successful but, with the performances that Ngumoha has been putting in, it's clear that Diaz would've still done a job for the Reds.

Although Ngumoha is still just 17 years old, it's clear that he has an incredibly bright future ahead of him and, after his outing against the Cottagers, it would not be surprising to see Slot start him against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

That is, especially if he wants his team to be on top of their opponents for the full 90 minutes.
