Liverpool are building a special team full of exciting talent, and there's another one closing in on the first-team.

There was always going to be a bump in the road for Arne Slot and his men. Changing so much of the squad around was never going to be easy.

Liverpool need time and patience at the moment as they build a new dynasty, ready to compete not just this season but for the next decade.

A key part of this will be promoting young talent from the academy. Liverpool have a plethora of exciting names, who have shown a lot of promise and have the potential to be competing for spots in the first-team.

Among them, Rio Ngumoha is catching everyone's attention right now. He's been simply brilliant and has made his moments count in the first-team.

But he's not the only one who is pushing to be on the periphery of the squad. There's plenty of young talent ready to offer skills and traits that Slot's team needs right now.

One of the areas where Liverpool are lacking strength is when it comes to speed. Long gone are the days when prime Mo Salah and Sadio Mane ran teams rugged.

Right now, Liverpool's fastest player is Jeremie Frimpong, who is out injured. Hugo Ekitike is also relatively fast. But other than those two, the Reds don't have anyone else.

This where La'More Lee Forrester could come in handy. The 16-year-old has started the season brilliantly with the U18s and he's already making strides and closing in on the first-team.

On Wednesday, Forrester earned a promotion to the club's U19 team and was given his debut in the UEFA Youth League against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Forrester helped his side to a 5-4 victory in a very dramatic game. The youngster played just over 20 minutes and proved to be very lively as usual.

Using his speed, Forrester looked sharp and he showcased that electrifying pace that he has often running behind the Frankfurt defence.

Only 16-years-old, Forrester is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Liverpool's academy. His name will already be on the radar of the club's first-team.

Making his debut for the U19s means he's just the U21s away from being close to earning a promotion to the first-team. For some players they sometimes even skip making an appearance for the U21s.

Given Liverpool's need for more speed, Forrester is definitely someone who could be fast-tracked. His someone to keep a close eye on.
