Things could get crazy: Bradley Barcola may not be Liverpool's only €100m deal
Liverpool spent wildly in 2025, with over £400m going out on new players. Are you ready to go again?
Is Bradley Barcola heading to Liverpool? It's very possible and reports are all over the place at the moment that the Frenchman will indeed leave Paris Saint-Germain.
TalkSport are among those claiming it, while Teamtalk suggests there have been talks between Liverpool and the player's camp. Anfield Watch suggested back in April that the Reds viewed Barcola as a genuine opportunity this summer, believing PSG would ultimately decide to sell.
It appears that is indeed the case. Liverpool have courted Barcola for years. Now they may finally get their man.
But here's the thing, Barcola would cost around €100m to sign. He wouldn't, however, be the only expensive winger that Liverpool would need.
Barcola would essentially be a versatile replacement for Luis Diaz. Someone who can play through the middle if need be but prefers to operate on the left.
So what about the replacement for Mohamed Salah? Liverpool don't have a single natural winger to cover the Egyptian's loss, and would absolutely require an elite signing.
It's why we think it's interesting that the talk around Barcola coincides so readily with the talk around Yan Diomande. Liverpool spent enormously in 2025 but all these major exits have us believing that they could do so again.
Diomande is the ultimate target, after all, but prefers to operate on the right. He'd be the Salah replacement that Barcola wouldn't be - and would also cost in the €100m range.
Liverpool may have that kind of money, though. Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate all leaving has freed up a massive amount on the wage bill, while further sales are expected.
A pair of wingers joining this star-studded forward line is very, very possible. Barcola may well join - and we don't believe he's coming alone.

Since his transfer from Lyon in 2023, the dynamic forward has cemented his status as a key attacking catalyst in France. The 2025/26 campaign proved to be his most prolific yet, with Barcola registering 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring 14 goals, and providing 11 assists. His clinical performances on the left flank were instrumental in guiding PSG to another Ligue 1 championship and a deep run into the UEFA Champions League knockout stages, earning him a spot in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
International Status and World Cup Involvement
Barcola is currently in North America with the France national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After a spectacular domestic season, manager Didier Deschamps named the winger in his final 26-man tournament squad. Barcola featured prominently in Les Bleus' recent warm-up fixtures, scoring a brilliant individual goal in a friendly against Chile. He enters the tournament expected to challenge for a starting role on the wing, with elite European clubs monitoring his progress despite a PSG contract running until June 2028.
