Sensational English star now destined to join Liverpool
A sensational England midfielder is now destined to join Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool are heading into what could be one of the most important summers the club has seen in years.
Big changes are happening all across Anfield, from the dugout to the dressing room, and by the time the new season kicks off, the team could look completely different.
The biggest change is in the manager's office. Following Arne Slot's departure, Liverpool have handed the reins to Andoni Iraola. The Spaniard arrives with a growing reputation as one of the most exciting coaches in Europe and is expected to bring several trusted members of his coaching staff with him.
Fans can also expect a different style of football. Iraola's teams are known for playing with intensity, pressing high up the pitch and attacking with real speed and energy. It should make for an exciting watch and could give Liverpool a fresh identity going forward.
But the changes don't stop there. Liverpool are also saying goodbye to some of the players who have helped define one of the most successful periods in the club's recent history. Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate have all left after their contracts expired.
Losing one player of that quality would be a tremendous blow, but losing all three in the same summer is a massive challenge.
Salah leaves behind an incredible legacy and a huge number of goals, while Robertson's leadership and consistency will be difficult to replace.
Konate's departure also leaves a significant gap in defence.
The trio have been key figures both on and off the pitch, and replacing their quality won't be straightforward.
There could be even more departures before the transfer window closes, which only adds to the uncertainty surrounding the squad. Liverpool's recruitment team therefore faces a huge task over the coming months as they look to rebuild and reshape the team around Iraola's vision.
The good news is that change also brings opportunity.
New signings are expected to arrive, younger players could get more chances, and supporters will get their first look at a completely new Liverpool project.
There are plenty of questions still to be answered, but one thing is certain - this is going to be a fascinating summer at Anfield, and the club that emerges from it may look very different from the one that finished last season.
It's also a summer that makes one Englishman now destined to join Liverpool, especially after the arrival of Iraola.
Liverpool will need to rebuild their midfield this summer. Alexis Mac Allister is attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid. Inter Milan are sniffing about for Curtis Jones' services.
In an ideal world, the Reds would not be wanting to sell either of these two players. However, when you're looking to refresh the squad while also trying to implement a new style of play change becomes inevitable.
Especially when someone like Mac Allister does not really suit Iraola's style of play.
It's why one English midfielder is destined to join the Reds following Iraola's arrival, and no it's not Adam Wharton. It's Alex Scott.
He made Iraola's system flourish at Bournemouth. Scott's energy and high-intensity makes him the perfect option for Iraola ball.
He's also very press-resistant, capable of progressing the ball from deep and taking risks which is what Iraola demands from his players.
Bournemouth are open to a sale for Scott this summer. Liverpool have been following him for over three years, from when he was playing at Bristol City.
Richard Hughes brought him to Bournemouth. Iraola made him a superstar. Liverpool need midfielders. It's just destined to happen. Scott is bound to become a Liverpool player this summer.
