Bajcetic fighting to be fit for preseason
The 21-year-old hasn’t played for the Liverpool first team in over two years - owing to loan spells of varying degrees of success and several injury setbacks.
The Spain under-21 international is going to be finally fit for preseason - with it being an added bonus that so many contenders for a place in the team are away at the FIFA World Cup.
However Bajcetic - who joined from Celta Vigo in 2020 - is now being linked with an exit. David Lynch for Anfield Index claims that the tempo-setter has simply missed too much football and won’t be taking part in first-team activities.

“I think with Stefan, either a loan or a permanent move this summer,” he stated.
“I think permanent is on the table, just because he’s missed so much football. I don’t think Liverpool think he’s going to get to where they want him to be.
“But it could just be if there’s not enough interest in a permanent, they allow him to go on loan and create a market for himself that they can then cash in on down the line.
“I wouldn’t expect him to be involved with the first team at all.”

LFC to say goodbye to Bajcetic
Bajcetic is reported to be contracted until 2027 - having made a decisive first-team breakthrough under Jurgen Klopp - who described the Spaniard as "super".
To that extent a loan simply wouldn’t make sense as the club would be saying goodbye at the end of his contract in any event.
So if Bajcetic does end up on loan we could also reasonably expect him to sign a new contract - which would guarantee Liverpool a fee in the event of his exit.
