Liverpool favourite says yes to stunning £21.5m contract deal

Liverpool waved goodbye to two legends on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are leaving following their trophy-laden spells at Anfield. Their next destinations are yet to be confirmed - but Salah appears to be attracting interest in the Saudi Pro League while Robbo may join Tottenham.

Much to the relief of the bean counters at FSG Salah and Robertson’s substantial salaries are now off the books. But the club owners may not stop there - and there is speculation they will clear out another high earner before the off-season concludes.

Juventus want to sign Alisson

Alisson Becker is reported to be making around £150k per week. The goalkeeper - who has been at Anfield since 2018 - recently signed a one-year contract extension.

He will be at Anfield until 2027 unless things change but Juventus are ready to test that stance. The Brazil No1 is in the crosshairs of Luciano Spalletti - the Juve head coach who was in charge of Alisson at Roma.

Juve are plotting a big rebuild and want to make Alisson the centre-piece of that project. The Italians would rather not pay a transfer fee but it’s hard to see Liverpool accepting that they would lose Alisson for nothing.

But the goalkeeper is reportedly intrigued by a return to Serie A and the details of Juve’s contract offer have now been revealed.

Alisson will rake in £21.5m at Juventus

Tuttosport is claiming that Alisson has given Juventus his “yes” ahead of a potential summer deal - which would see the shotstopper grab a three-year contract.

That provides plenty of certainty for Alisson - who as things stand only has a year left to run on Merseyside. And the financial outlay will be substantial.

The report claims Alisson will net €4.5m per season at Juve - which equates to around €8.3m gross. In GBP that means Alisson will be earning around £138k per week - just under what he’s been earning at Liverpool.

He would be raking in around £21.5m over the course of a three-year contract - a bumper contract for a player of his age.

Alisson has suffered some injury problems this season - leading to plenty of minutes for Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The Georgian is in line to replace Alisson on a permanent basis once he departs - and the next few weeks could be absolutely crucial in determining the all-time favourite’s next move.
