Liverpool will need to sell a decent chunk of their players this summer.

The Anfield outfit are in desperate need of a revamp and, without one, it's unclear how well the Reds would do.

Of course, Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate are all already exiting Anfield but, since they're all leaving for free, Richard Hughes still has to figure out a way to generate some money to fund Liverpool's summer transfer window.

With this in mind, it's clear to see why several members of the Reds' first-team squad are still being linked with moves away this summer.

However, for one Liverpool player, his future seemingly lies with the Reds in L4 for the foreseeable future.

Juventus would need a 'miracle' to sign Alisson from Liverpool

Ever since the 2025-26 season ended, Alisson has been linked with a move to Juventus.

The Brazilian missed a decent chunk of the campaign due to injury with some people from inside Liverpool considering moving the 33-year-old on and promoting Giorgi Mamardashvili to first choice.

This thought process was obviously met with a lot of backlash from fans due to the difference in quality between both 'keepers.

And, since Alisson has only extended his contract by a year, he'd have probably been moved on for a cut-rate fee.

Recently, talk of the Brazilian exiting has died down and now, La Gazzetta Dello Sport are claiming that it would now take a 'miracle' for Juventus to sign him this summer.

"After the struggles demonstrated by Michele Di Gregorio last season, there is an urgent need to add an experienced, winning goalkeeper with a strong personality to the squad," they wrote.

"With Alisson, Juventus' first choice, almost gone, and Liverpool seemingly having no intention of releasing him (although the Juventus manager continues to hope for a miracle), the identikit has taken on the features of another South American protagonist in the Premier League: Emiliano Martinez."

Liverpool keeping Alisson could be their most important move of the transfer window

Even though Alisson has been rather injury prone this season, he's still one of the world's best goalkeepers.

The Brazilian has helped Virgil van Dijk lead Liverpool's defensive line ever since he joined and, when he's been absent from the team, the Reds' performances have dipped.

When Caoimhin Kelleher was his back-up, there were no worries as the Ireland international was also a world-class goalkeeper.

But, with Mamardashvili as the back-up, fans have been a tad uneasy due to the mistakes he's made.

Alisson is one of the main reasons why Liverpool have been so successful over the last few years and without him, it's hard to imagine what they'd have ended up doing.

And, with Arne Slot gone, some sort of stability is needed which is why for Andoni Iraola, keeping Alisson may be Liverpool's best move of the window.

Especially if they're wanting to compete for silverware next term.
