Andoni Iraola's chase for 'exceptional' star just got much easier
Andoni Iraola has only been in charge of Liverpool for around 10 days but many rumours have already been shared about his transfer plans.
The Reds are in dire need of reinforcement and, without adding five or six players to their ranks, they could end up even further behind their title rivals than they were this season.
This would be far from ideal, especially after they broke the British record transfer fee twice last summer.
Of course, injuries have had a major part to play in their poor form but, a team of Liverpool's stature should have back-up options who are just as good as their starters.
This is why many players are being linked with an Anfield switch at the moment and now, an interesting update has been shared about a club who are interested in one of the many players that the Reds have been linked with.
Paris Saint-Germain have Crysencio Summerville in their sights instead of Yan Diomande
Yan Diomande is a name that Liverpool fans have become rather familiar with over the last few months.
Ever since Mohamed Salah announced that he was leaving Anfield, Diomande has been linked with a transfer.
The attacker is a 19-year-old Ivorian who has been setting the Bundesliga alight over the last couple of years with some of the biggest clubs in the world vying for his transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have been two of the most linked but now, a fresh update could mean that Liverpool have a free run a signing the winger.
"PSG has made contact with West Ham to find out the exit conditions for Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes," Santi Aouna wrote via his personal X account.
"The Hammers are demanding 50M€ for Summerville and 80M€ for Fernandes.
"Discussions have also taken place with the entourages of both players.
"Very strong competition for Matheus Fernandes. Real Madrid and Manchester United & PL clubs interested."
Liverpool must throw everything they can towards signing Yan Diomande
Even though Diomande is only 19 years old, he's clearly one of the best options for Liverpool to explore.
The attacker can be used on either wing and, since he's contributed to 23 goals this season, he's clearly an "exceptional" player.
Of course, this being his first season in a top-five league with a decent team is a bit of a worry but, with how good he could eventually become, it feels like a move for the Ivorian is a no-brainer.
Other attackers such as Bazoumana Toure and Morgan Rogers have been linked with a Liverpool switch but, since Rogers would cost an awful lot more and Toure contributed to less goals than his fellow countryman, Diomande seems like the best option.
His transfer would obviously cost Richard Hughes an arm and a leg but, if they want to sign young players with high potential, Diomande fits that criteria perfectly.
