Journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in signing Leeds United winger Raphinha.

However, Romano further added that “many clubs” are looking to secure the services of the 24-year-old.

Raphinha possesses a current market value of €32 million.

As quoted by Anfield Watch’s Twitter account, Romano told the Here We Go podcast the following: “He will be a player to watch next summer, many clubs have Raphinha’s name on their list, not just Liverpool.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Raphinha is a talented footballer. The winger has scored nine goals and registered nine assists in 37 Premier League appearances for Leeds United.

Raphinha is also averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.17 in the early stages of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign.

The aforementioned figures highlight that the Brazil international is a solid senior footballer.

Raphinha is only 24 years of age. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that he still has plenty of room left for improvement.

We believe that Raphinha would improve his game if he joined Liverpool. The reality is, the winger would be training/playing alongside some top-class forwards such as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

With that being the case, Raphinha would arguably improve his game/standards.
