Liverpool are discussing a potential transfer with one of their midfielders. This could be the end.

Liverpool have already said goodbye to a few players this summer. Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate have all moved on - whether we like it or not (we don't).

And the exits won't stop there. Curtis Jones is one also expected to depart as he's now in the final year of his contract and there's massive interest in him.

Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker are also in their final years. We think all three will stick around but surprise moves can't be ruled out.

And then there are fringe players like Stefan Bajcetic. The Spaniard has struggled horribly with injuries over the last few years, ever since breaking through as a wonderful prospect under Jurgen Klopp.

Bajcetic was playing semi-regularly, in fact. Then things took a turn and we've barely seen the midfielder since that breakthrough campaign.

We may never see him in the Red again, too. Estadio Deportivo reports that Bajcetic is high on the shortlist at Sevilla and they hope to sign him this summer.

Rayo Vallecano and Elche are also big on Bajcetic and in the mix there. The player himself is eager to leave Liverpool and the report claims he's in talks with the Reds about letting him go.

If they're happy to oblige, Bajcetic would like to return to Spain. Clubs are certainly ready to pick him up.

That would be a real shame from a Liverpool's perspective but an entirely understandable one. Bajcetic needs to get back on track and regular football is almost certainly the only way that happens.

He won't get that at Anfield after all the injury woes. A return to Spain, then, feels like the sensible move and it's one that ultimately, we hope Liverpool grant.
