Liverpool could be ready to complete SENSATIONAL Roma double deal
Liverpool are reported to be locked in talks with Roma over the loan transfer of Kostas Tsimikas.
The 29-year-old left-back has been at the club since 2020 - but has slipped down the pecking order under Arne Slot.

Andy Robertson has been the club’s long-standing left-back and sporting director Richard Hughes also completed a deal for Milos Kerkez during this transfer window.

Liverpool do not require three senior left-backs and so Greece international Tsimikas has been forced to look elsewhere.
Tsimikas and Chiesa in demand
Under contract until 2027, it remains to be seen whether Roma come up with a formula which guarantees a permanent move for Tsimikas at the end of his loan spell or whether he will return to Liverpool.
But it’s not only Tsimikas that is on new Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini’s radar.
Owing to a failure to land either Tyrique George from Chelsea or Jadon Sancho from Manchester United, it now appears the Giallorossi have set their sights once again on Federico Chiesa.
Roma gathering information on Chiesa
The 27-year-old has been reinvigorated at the start of this season - scoring against Bournemouth - and isn’t likely to be sold willingly by the Reds.
However a report on Retesport now claims that Roma are conducting their due diligence on the Italy international ahead of an 11th-hour bid.
“An opportunity could emerge in the final days of the transfer window: Federico Chiesa,” a report reads.
“Roma is currently gathering information on the fitness of the 1997-born player currently playing for Liverpool. This is a sign not to be underestimated.
“Currently, there has been no direct contact with the player, who, however, appears to be keen to continue his experience with the Reds. The Giallorossi have begun discussions with the English club regarding Tsimikas, to see if a transfer synergy could emerge.”
It would be a surprise for Chiesa to leave
Liverpool currently have a shortage of attackers - owing to the departures of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Ben Doak. It would be a surprise to see the club dispense with Chiesa if they do not get a new forward in.
Chiesa endured a very difficult first season at Anfield and was rumoured to be a Serie A target as early as January this year.
But he has worked hard over the off-season and now looks a genuine option off the bench at least for Arne Slot. Liverpool paid Juventus a fee that could reach £12.5m for Chiesa and signed him to a contract which extends until 2028.
