Liverpool FC News: Virgil van Dijk makes immortal Diogo Jota tribute
Even though a lot of the tributes to Diogo Jota have been and gone, a lot of effort has gone into making sure the Portuguese striker's memory lives on forever through some lasting recognition.
This started when Liverpool immortalised his No. 20 shirt which is now retired and represented throughout the club's facilities and a statue is being crafted using the tributes that fans placed at Anfield in the weeks following his passing, alongside the fans regularly singing his famous chant.

But the Reds' skipper Virgil van Dijk has decided to make a lasting tribute of his own, by including his teammate in a youth tournament the Dutchman has co-sanctioned with his former club Willem II.
Award named in Diogo's honour
The Virgil van Dijk Legacy Trophy took place this weekend in Tilburg, Netherlands, an event where different under-13s teams from across Europe are encouraged to compete against each other across two days of action, before a tournament winning side is crowned.
Liverpool's players came up against Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint Germain, and Manchester City on their way to the final, before beating Feyenoord in the final, to take victory in the maiden event.
Ade Adediran was selected as the tournament's MVP after scoring eight goals and the Diogo Jota Award was handed to him for the achievement, an aptly named honour, a gesture made by Van Dijk.
In this way, the Reds' No.20 will forever be associated with the tournament and young players will always be reminded of the player that the award has been named after. His memory will live on.
Since the football season has returned, it's become easy to disregard of difficult it must be for the players who knew Jota best to continue living their lives and playing while he's no longer here.
As such, it's really positive to see that Van Dijk been able to to immortalise him in his own way.
