Troy Deeney makes EXTRAORDINARY Rio Ngumoha World Cup prediction
Liverpool can expect to have several star players at next summer’s FIFA World Cup - depending on who qualifies of course.
Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Alisson Becker are among those Reds’ stars who have already sealed qualification for the 2026 tournament - taking place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

We can expect the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Jeremie Frimpong to join them with the Netherlands - while Ibrahima Konate and Hugo Ekitike will surely fancy France’s chances.

England under Thomas Tuchel will be a good bet as usual. But right now Curtis Jones appears to be the only Liverpool senior squad member with a chance of making the squad for the World Cup.
Ngumoha's extraordinary breakout
All that could change however with the emergence of Rio Ngumoha. The 17-year-old is one of the hottest properties in world football right now - scoring on his Premier League debut versus Newcastle.
He is expected to sign a first-ever senior professional contract any day now and looks set to reign on Merseyside for a decade at least.
Ngumoha has also been tipped to emulate Theo Walcott - taken to the World Cup in 2006 aged only 16 - and break into the Three Lions’ picture before the season ends.
Rio could probably go to World Cup
That’s according to Troy Deeney, who told talkSPORT that he expects Ngumoha to be in the shakeup if he continues his fine form.
"If Rio keeps playing and being involved like he is now, and scores seven or eight goals, he could probably go,” the former striker said.
“There's a few [players] like that, that you'd have to just watch and see."
Ngumoha has risen quickly through the ranks since signing for Liverpool last summer.
The sky is the limit for Rio Ngumoha
Initially placed with the under-18s, he ended up playing at Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League level last season before jumping into the first-team picture.
Ngumoha made his debut against January against Accrington in the FA Cup before taking a decisive step during preseason.
Liverpool were content to sell Luis Diaz in order to make space for the English sensation - who also made his international U19 debut this week.
The sky is the limit for Rio Ngumoha - and an appearance at the World Cup cannot be ruled out.
