Insider confirms the next THREE contract agreements Liverpool have got to reach
Liverpool ensured continuity last season with new contracts for both Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
The captain and the top scorer both had deals which were expiring in summer 2025 - and there was plenty of uncertainty over whether or not new terms could be agreed.

Van Dijk and Salah have both agreed to new deals - extending to 2027 - meaning the Reds can begin their succession planning with a lot more breathing space.
Liverpool's next contract priorities
Keeping Van Dijk and Salah on board will be integral for the next couple of seasons - as their capabilities on the pitch and leadership credentials behind the scenes set the tone for the rest of the squad.
Where the established stars go, the rest follow - and Liverpool understand the importance of shoring up deals in plenty of time.
Next year we could see Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate depart and in 2027 the terms of Alisson - not to mention Van Dijk and Salah - run out.
The club have now been informed which contracts must take priority.
Slot, Hughes and Edwards have got expiring terms
Itâs another three pivotal figures in the league title success - although they are not performers out on the pitch.
Arne Slot, the Redsâ head coach, signed a three-year deal back in 2024 when joining from Feyenoord.
Those terms expire in 2027 - less than two years from now - and the club need to get busy tying down the Dutchman to fresh terms.
Meanwhile, sporting director Richard Hughes is ALSO reported by the Telegraph to be out of contract in 2027.
He has impressed everyone with how heâs conducted incoming and outgoing business since arriving following the conclusion of his term as technical director at Bournemouth last year.
And 2024 also saw the return of another key Liverpool individual. Michael Edwards - former sporting director - was welcomed back under the FSG umbrella as the new CEO of Football.
His contract is also due to expire in less than two years - with the possibility that all three inspirational figures behind the clubâs recent successes could be heading into the final stretch.
Extend the squad's architects
Thatâs why this reminder from the Telegraphâs Chris Bascombe is so important. âFSGâs next deals may need to be closer to home, however,â the report reads.
âEdwards, Hughes and Slot have just two years left on their contracts.
âHaving laid such strong foundations, the next outlay may need to extend the stay of the squadâs architects to ensure Liverpoolâs dream team remain intact, on and off the pitch.â
Liverpool are building something substantial - having signed the likes of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.
Their title win was by no means âone and doneâ; the Anfield side are seeking to establish a legacy and dominate. For that, tying down Slot, Hughes and Edwards must be the next move.
