Liverpool are reportedly interested in a 22-year-old midfielder valued at £8.3 million

Liverpool are interested in signing KV Oostende midfielder Kenny Rocha Santos, according to Voetbalflitsen, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

However, the report does state that the Reds face stiff competition from Porto and Feyenoord for the 22-year-old's signature.

The report further adds that Santos could be sold for just £8.3 million this month.

Anfield Watch Verdict

Santos is a talented player. Footage of the midfielder highlights that he is skillful and that he possesses end product in his game.

Also, Santos is only 22 years of age. Therefore, it would be fair to assume that he still has plenty of room left for improvement.

Liverpool do possess an ageing midfield. The likes of Thiago Alcantara, Jordan Henderson and James Milner are all above the age of 30.

With that being the case, we do believe that Santos would be a decent long-term investment for the club.

But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the youngster.
