Fabrizio Romano confirms €35m bid is in; Liverpool must react

Liverpool have got to react after Fabrizio Romano confirmed a €35m bid has gone in. The Reds can't let this one pass them by.

Liverpool are in the market for a new forward or two. They simply have to be after a campaign in which they struggled to find their feet going forward.

Things are actually worse than that, of course. Mohamed Salah is gone and Hugo Ekitike is injured for the foreseeable future, meaning the Reds go into this campaign up against it.

They're struggling to complete deals for Bradley Barcola, Yankuba Minteh and Ibrahim Mbaye and all could ultimately pass them by, as Yan Diomande did. And now they may miss out on a fantastic signing.

RB Leipzig have submitted an offer for Matias Fernandez-Pardo, one of the absolute brightest prospects in European football. Fernandez-Pardo is capable of playing across the front line and was one of the most valuable Under-21 players in European football last season.

Fabrizio Romano confirms the offer and it's apparently just €35m. It's a small amount, given most of the figures thrown around for Europe's best this summer.

Leipzig are essentially hoping Fernandez-Pardo can deliver for them as Yan Diomande did and we predict they'll make a similar profit if this deal gets done. But the Reds could still get involved.

We're massive fans of the Belgian and have pushed for his signing all summer long. Not that we've plucked it out of nowhere: Liverpool have been linked with a deal as they seek attacking reinforcements.

If they do want Fernanez-Pardo, though, they'll have to move quickly. Leipzig are on it and putting up the cash.
