Anfield's future: Liverpool targets send ultimate come-and-get-me plea
Two Liverpool targets sent the ultimate come-and-get-me plea on Wednesday evening. This could seal their deal.
Liverpool have been linked with two Bournemouth stars in recent weeks and perhaps that shouldn't be a shock. Their sporting director, Richard Hughes, did work there after all.
Milos Kerkez signed from the Cherries last summer and it appears Liverpool may try to pry two more players from the club. One, Maros Senesi, will certainly be available with the end of his contract. The i Paper suggests the Reds are interested.
But Junior Kroupi is another who could make the move. He's been electric since breaking in at Bournemouth this season, scoring 11 times. He won't even turn 20 until the summer.
It's easy to see why Liverpool would want the pair of them, too. Senesi has five assists from centre-back - the most in the Premier League from a player in his position.
They haven't been flukes, either. His 'expected assists' sit at 4.47 and he's created more big chances (7) than any centre-back.
It's even easier to explain the hype around Kroupi - any 19-year-old in double digits for Premier League goals will be a wanted man. Liverpool won't be alone in hoping to snap him up.
The pair of them offered a brilliant come-and-get-me plea on Wednesday evening, too. Kroupi scored a wonderful poacher's goal against Leeds United, splitting the centre-backs to get in behind and finish with a perfectly-timed run.
It was Senesi who played the ideal pass for it. He'd stolen the ball in midfield, dodging a tackle before sending it through for the teenager to finish.
That's exactly the kind of move Liverpool haven't had this season. They lack that kind of creativity from deep, while they haven't had a proper poacher in front of goal, either.
Here was a fine example of what they could bring should Liverpool seal deals for the pair this summer.
Junior Kroupi: Situation Summary
Premier League Breakthrough and Stats
As of 23 April 2026, Eli Junior Kroupi has emerged as a standout revelation at AFC Bournemouth. The 19-year-old forward has recorded 11 goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season, following his €13 million move from Lorient in 2025. His clinical form was most recently on display during a 2–2 draw against Leeds United on 22 April, where he found the net to extend Bournemouth's club-record unbeaten run to 14 games. Statistically, Kroupi averages 0.70 goals per 90 minutes and maintains a 79% pass completion rate, leading to an £80 million valuation.
Transfer Race and Market Value
Kroupi’s explosive debut campaign has ignited a fierce transfer battle among Europe's elite. Manchester United reportedly dispatched scouts to watch him during the 2–1 win over Newcastle on 19 April, viewing him as a priority upgrade for Joshua Zirkzee. Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Paris Saint-Germain are also heavily linked with the teenager, whose contract at the Vitality Stadium runs until 2030. Bournemouth remains firm that he is not for sale, though insiders suggest a bid exceeding £60–80 million could test their resolve.
International Status
Despite his prolific domestic form, Kroupi remains uncapped at senior level for France. While there have been growing calls for Didier Deschamps to include him in the 2026 World Cup squad, recent reports suggest the manager may opt for more experienced options this June.
