Andoni Iraola could save Liverpool millions if he unleashes 83-goal magician
Liverpool already have a lot of talented players among their ranks.
This is proven by the fact that Arne Slot brought the Premier League title home at the first time of asking during the 2024-25 season.
And, although the arrivals of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak may have shuffled things around, they still shouldn't have done as poorly as they did this term.
They finished fifth in the Premier League and, although they were knocked out of the Champions League by the eventual winners, they still should've put up a much better fight than they did.
Despite the amount of quality they have, reinforcement is clearly needed but, with the amount of new players that Liverpool need, there are going to have to be some sacrifices in some positions.
Because, even though the Reds are one of the biggest clubs in the world, the Premier League's PSR rules will put a cap on their spending which is why they need to be smart with every move they make.
They'll be trying everything to save a few pennies and, if Iraola manages to do one thing, he could save the club tens of millions this season.
Andoni Iraola must get Federico Chiesa back to his best for Liverpool
When Iraola was first appointed, he said that every single one of his players were going to be treated like new signings.
Whether they were played by Slot or not, the Spaniard confirmed that he'd be judging each player by their ability rather than anything else.
This is exactly what Liverpool's fanbase will have wanted as it means that players such as Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa could be given another chance to impress.
The latter of the two has only been at Anfield for a couple of years but he's quickly cemented himself as a cult-hero and is adored by most of the fanbase despite his lack of playing time.
Before joining Liverpool and before his major injuries, Chiesa was one of the best forwards in the world with his performances for Italy single-handedly winning them the Euros against England.
This form, coupled with his versatility are two of the main reasons why Slot chose to sign him and, while the Dutchman gave him some playing time, it was never enough for him to re-find his form.
Several clubs have already shown an interest in taking Chiesa off of Liverpool's hands but, if they can get him back to his best and playing regular football, the Anfield outfit could save millions on new attackers.
Federico Chiesa could be an integral part of Liverpool's plans this season
Throughout his carer, Chiesa has scored 83 goals with the vast majority of them coming when he played for Fiorentina.
However, his time with Serie A giants Juventus was when he really thrived but, by the end of his stint, he wasn't hitting the mark which is why they moved him onto Liverpool for around £10 million.
His contract is going to expire in June 2028 which means that this summer will be their last chance to cash in on him if they wish to do so.
But, with how many players the Anfield outfit need to sign, it feels like an extension would be worthwhile, especially if Iraola is given a chance to work with him.
The ability of the attacker is still high and, at just 28 years old, there's plenty of gas left in the tank.
And, since Mohamed Salah has left and there aren't many other options to play on Liverpool's right-wing, there's literally never been a better time for him to prove his worth.
Here's hoping Iraola gives him the opportunity he needs to prove that he can finally be an asset to the Anfield outfit.
