Liverpool are ready to transform their attack. They're working on a sensational €200m spend that would change everything.

Liverpool know full well that what they saw from wide areas last season wasn't good enough. The Reds struggled to produce much of anything from their wings - a stark contrast to the title-winning campaign.

In fact, it was in contrast to every season since Sadio Mané arrived in 2016. Liverpool just couldn't break teams down with their width and it made them incredibly easy to play against.

They're hoping this season will be different. Mohamed Salah has gone, while we do expect Cody Gakpo to follow. Liverpool have also signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna and are currently working on deals worth €200m with Paris Saint-Germain.

L'Equipe report that PSG want €150m for Bradley Barcola and that there's now confidence that they'll strike a deal with Liverpool. This one has been running for a little while, of course, and there's no question at this stage that Barcola is the priority for the Reds right now.

Anfield Watch first reported on their interest back in April. Now it appears it'll go through - just for an incredible amount of money.

But that's not all! Fabrice Hawkins is among many reporting that they're also pushing to sign Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG and are to enter talks for the teenager.

His reporting suggests the European champions would want at least €40m to sell Mbaye, however they will accept some sort of offer. The Senegal star is certainly up for grabs right now.

So we're looking at €200m for the pair of them - maybe just shy of that amount if PSG are willing to accept closer to €40m for Mbaye. Either way, it's a staggering amount of money and one year after Liverpool spent even more than that on Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike.

But this pair of deals would give Liverpool something that they didn't get last summer - real quality on the wings. It's absolutely vital that the Reds address it and it appears they're willing to go all-out to do so.

A transformative move and one that, hopefully, catapults the team back into title contention.
