Advantage Liverpool as Rodrygo tells Cristiano Ronaldo his next move
If Liverpool end up selling Luis Diaz then the likelihood is they will move for a high-quality replacement. The Colombian winger looks determined to push through a move this summer - with Bayern Munich and Barcelona among the contenders to sign him.
Liverpool are sticking to their €80m valuation of the 28-year-old - and it remains to be seen whether or not any interested teams meet the asking price.

Rodrygo rejects Al-Nassr
There is additional interest from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr - with Cristiano Ronaldo reported by Sky Sport in Switzerland as driving his club’s attempts to lure Rodrygo to the Saudi Pro League.
However, according to the same report, the player has REJECTED the opportunity to earn the fortunes on offer in Saudi Arabia. Instead, two-time Champions League-winning Rodrygo wants to test himself in the Premier League.
Rodrygo focussed on the Premier League
“Rodrygo has told Al Nassr that if he does leave, he would prioritize Premier League clubs,” the report states. “His focus is primarily on sport, and he doesn't want to open the door to Saudi Arabia.”
That gives Liverpool an enormous boost for Rodrygo - should they choose to pursue a deal at this stage. Madrid appear to have made their minds up with Rodrygo not featuring in the forward plans for Xabi Alonso.
Rodrygo to be frozen out at Madrid
The former Liverpool midfielder has got Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Arda Guler, Jude Bellingham and Gonzalo Garcia to keep happy and it doesn’t seem that Rodrygo will get much of a look in.
