Victor Osimhen now BEGGING out to be signed by Liverpool
Liverpool have been informed that they are in the driving seat should they pursue a deal for Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian forward is coming off the back of a successful season on loan at Galatasaray - scoring 37 times in 41 games overall as Gala won the Turkish league and cup double.

But the 26-year-old has now returned to parent club Napoli, where his contract extends until 2026. With relations at an all-time low, Osimhen WILL be sold this summer and Liverpool are favourites to sign him according to a report in Sportmediaset.

According to the report, Osimhen rejected Al-Hilal’s contract offer of €35m per season.
Gala too would like to have him back, proposing €15m per year of their own money and another €10m from sponsors. The Turkish giants won’t hang around forever however and need an answer soon.
Liverpool are Napoli's preference
Osimhen for his part is open to a future in the Premier League - but the player’s preference is believed to be a move to Juventus.
The complicating factor for the Bianconeri is that Aurelio De Laurentiis - the Napoli president - has zero intention of selling his prized asset to a domestic rival.
A reported release clause of €75m ONLY applies to overseas clubs, meaning Juve can be quite easily priced out of a deal for Osimhen.
Napoli are keen to prevent their 2022/23 Serie A title-winning forward from becoming a burden and are seeking a quick resolution before a training camp at Trentino begins in around a month.
Napoli 'rooting for' Liverpool deal
The report states that Napoli are now “rooting for” Liverpool even though there remains a gap in valuation between the two clubs for Osimhen.
Contact is in progress between all parties and the Reds will also be encouraged by reports that Osimhen’s salary demands have come way down as he seeks the right move for his career.

These are hugely significant signs. One of the world’s peak strikers is practically begging for Liverpool to sign him owing to the unique transfer conditions around him this summer. If that isn’t an opportunistic deal, then we don’t know what is.
