Liverpool WILLING to sell title-winning centre-back
Liverpool are not standing still despite winning the 2024/25 Premier League title. Head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes have got plans to upgrade the squad over this transfer window.
We’ve already seen Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi arrive - and Florian Wirtz as well as Milos Kerkez will be confirmed sooner rather than later.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher have left the club and it looks like there will be more departures before the transfer window is done.

Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa are leading contenders to leave - and there are also question marks over others such as Luis Diaz and Andy Robertson.
Perhaps the biggest upheaval is likely to come at centre-back - where Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez are among those players with their futures being scrutinised.
Jarell Quansah future in doubt
And Liverpool’s title-winning defender Jarell Quansah might not be spared either.
The 22-year-old began the campaign in possession of a starting shirt but fell quickly out of favour with Arne Slot. He made only FOUR starts throughout the league season - playing a total of just over 400 top-flight minutes.
And it’s been suggested that the England under-21 international could be made available this summer. Given that Quansah is under a long-term contract - and boasts homegrown status - he would command a hefty fee in the market.
Liverpool would sell Quansah for over £40m
Now the Athletic is reporting that Liverpool are indeed gearing up for a sale of Quansah. The price tag is around £40m - and Richard Hughes isn’t likely to compromise.
“Are Liverpool willing to let Quansah leave? For the right money, yes,” a report reads.
“Although they are not actively looking to sell. The 22-year-old is valued at over £40million and has potential suitors, with Leverkusen showing the strongest interest.
“Quansah does want to play more minutes next season, though.”
Leverkusen have lost Jonathan Tah to Bayern and could do with a starting centre-back to come in. Premier League suitors have been reported to include Newcastle and Everton.

A player of high potential, Quansah is likely to remain down the pecking order at the Reds so long as Virgil van Dijk and Konate are in situ. A move away could benefit all parties - with Liverpool able to bank a sizeable fee that could be used to fund other incomings.
