Liverpool have no shortage of players at the moment but not all of them will be here in a month.

There are some that need to move away for their own benefit since there isn't room in the squad for them anymore and there are others that must give way in order for their replacements to join the club.

By and large, most of the Reds' incoming business has been completed, but there are still a few finishing touches that are still being considered and the net spend is looking a little high for most people's liking and that can be addressed by Liverpool releasing some high-value players.

One of which is Harvey Elliott who reaffirmed earlier this week that he was going to 'assess' his future before the transfer window closes and his value has skyrocketed throughout this summer.

West Ham in line to sign TWO of the Reds' favourites

Liverpool have an extraordinary academy that produces and develops young talents and Elliott and Tyler Morton are two of the most well-known graduates from the system. They are both involved in their country's international system, having won the U21 Euros together in earlier July for England.

But it is looking increasingly unlikely that they will be able to breakthrough into Liverpool's first-team as they would have liked. Arne Slot's squad is littered with quality and they are often left sidelined.

As such, the club is looking at potential deals for them and West Ham have been reported to have interest in each of them over the last few months. Now it seems as though a situation could unfold which leads the Hammers to consider taking them off Liverpool's hands. A 'double-deal' as it were.

Morton has been on a few different loan moves and his value is currently sitting at around £15m, whereas Elliott's Champions League experience and overall contributions to the first team, on an irregular basis have lead to suggestions that £50m could be asked for him to leave Merseyside.

According to reports, West Ham cannot afford such a deal but a recent update regarding one of their main players might have just turned things around. TBR Football is reporting that Lucas Paqueta has been cleared of all gambling and misconduct charges by the FA.

This of course isn't indicative that he might leave West Ham, but Manchester City were previously interested in the Brazilian and his innocence puts a potential move back on the table.

Graeme Bailey spoke to TBR and said: "I am told that Manchester City remain huge admirers of the player and do not rule them out coming back in, although the £80m fee they previously agreed is likely to be more than halved if they do return. There is interest in the Saudi Pro League too, and the expectation, as we have previously revealed, is that Paqueta will now move on."

As such, West Ham might be set to receive a financial boost and Morton and Elliott would be ideal recruits to help replace his midfield presence and bring a level of creativity back to their squad.

Furthermore, they pair can also be registered as 'homegrown', which is also a bonus to consider.
