Liverpool appear set to continue dealing with Bayer Leverkusen even after deals for Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz. A third deal is on the cards.

Liverpool have already struck a deal with Bayer Leverkusen this year. They signed Jeremie Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold and got him at a bargain price.

Though, 'striking a deal' in this scenario was simply letting Leverkusen know that they'd be meeting his release clause. The German's didn't really have a say.

They very much do have a say over Florian Wirtz, however. Leverkusen are pushing Liverpool hard in those negotiations, trying to get as close to €150m as possible. And they might just do it.

Fabrizio Romano suggested on Tuesday evening that an agreement had been found. Others feel that's premature, even if things are heading in the right direction.

On top of that, though, Liverpool are set to talk with Leverkusen over a third deal. Here are the details.

EXCLUSIVE: Wonderkid will join Liverpool first team in pre-season

Leverkusen want Jarell Quansah

Romano claimed on Wednesday that Leverkusen have now added Jarell Quansah to their shortlist. They're looking for centre-backs as they aim to replace Jonthan Tah, who's joined Bayern Munich.

"Bayer Leverkusen add Loïc Badé to their shortlist for new centre back in addition to Jarell Quansah," he wrote on Twitter.

"Badé, appreciated internally — and one more name after contacts for Quansah in separate deal from Florian Wirtz.

"Leverkusen will sign new CB to replace Tah."

It would be an interesting move for Quansah and one he probably needs. The centre-back struggled badly for form last season after being dropped at half-time in the first game of the Arne Slot era.

He did recover, playing well over the second half of the campaign, but too little too late? It feels as though Slot doesn't rate him as highly as Jurgen Klopp did and that Quansah may struggle to force his way to regular first-team football.

If a team as strong as Leverkusen are willing to offer that, it feels like a very good move for the youngster.
