Chelsea working on BOMBSHELL deal for massive Liverpool star
Chelsea are reportedly working on a massive deal for a starting Liverpool player. This could really shake things up.
Chelsea supposedly have their eyes on a Liverpool player as they continue their mammoth challenge to sign every professional footballer. The Blues even sign players for other clubs now, with Julio Enciso joining Strasbourg with a view to eventually moving to Stamford Bridge.
Really, Liverpool were the only club to rival Chelsea for business in the latest transfer window. They still didn't get anywhere near them in that regard but they certainly gave it a go.

The Reds moved to break their transfer record twice, with the latter a new British transfer record. That breaks the record Chelsea held, in fact.
Then there were the sales, with Liverpool moving on several first-team stars as they overhauled their squad. That's a situation that may well continue in 2026 and Chelsea, it seems, want to get involved.
Chelsea eye Ibrahima Konate
Empire Of The Kop claims Chelsea are one of the three main teams in for Ibrahima Konate next year. Konate's contract will expire at the end of the season unless he agrees on new terms with the Reds.
But how likely is that?
Liverpool have already tried to get a new deal done with the Frenchman but he appears reluctant to sign it. There's always been a suggestion that they could get him to agree the deal with a significant pay bump but the Reds appear equally reluctant to do that.
Chelsea, then, feel as though they can take advantage of the situation. They're far from the only club seeing things that way, however.
Paris Saint-Germain do, too, which is hardly a shock. Konate is Parisian, after all, and PSG are eager to snap up elite French talent.
But above all, Real Madrid want to sign the centre-back. They appear very confident of doing so, too, with constant reports coming out of Spain that they view a deal as likely.
Honestly, we'd just like to know for sure what Konate plans to do. Going through another contract saga this season feels like an absolute chore - but it's the direction we're heading in.
It might even have the same outcome, as much as Chelsea want to try and upset things.

The trouble with Chelsea is yes they sign every player they can but within 12 months they are for sale and moved on their deep pockets must have a bottom at some point.
Chelsea have not a chance on this earth of signing Konate, his head has been turned he will go to Madrid and keep Trent company on the bench. Grass is no greener on the other side.
