Liverpool closing in on MASSIVE transfer
Richard Hughes is not sleeping a lot this summer because Liverpool are reportedly closing in on another transfer.
The Reds have only just announced the arrival of Milos Kerkez, following up the completion of a deal for Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong, but already they are working on securing another transfer.

This was always going to be a massive summer for Liverpool. The Reds decided not to splash the cash last summer for exactly this purpose.
They needed a year to assess the squad Arne Slot inherited from Jurgen Klopp before they knew where best to invest in the team.
After a spectacular season, that became obvious and Liverpool have acted in the market to add even more weapons to Slot's squad.
Now the only holes left in the team are in the centre-back and forward positions. It's expected that Liverpool will try to sign players in both roles and they seem to already be doing that looking to secure another massive transfer.

According to DaveOCKOP Liverpool are closing in on a deal for Marc Guehi as they look to bolster the club's centre-back department and replace the soon to be departing Jarell Quansah.
There have been some supporters who have refused to get excited by the arrival of Guehi. However, this would be another massive transfer for Liverpool.
Guehi would be coming in to replace Quansah and on paper this is a huge upgrade with all respect to the club's academy graduate, who has an abundance of potential.
But right now Guehi is undoubtedly the better player. He is an England international with an incredibly CV under his belt considering he's only just about to turn 25-years-old.
Guehi was the captain at Crystal Palace, he's been captaining them from a very young age as well. He played a key role in helping his side cause a major upset and win the FA Cup final last season.
In the Premier League he's regarded as one of the best defenders in the league for his consistent output. Bringing him in as a third choice option behind Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk is a fantastic deal.
Especially, because Guehi is capable of playing both as a left and right sided centre-back which will help Liverpool massively as he could fill in for Van Dijk, when the Reds' captain is knackered and he could also play alongside him in place of Konate.
So overall this is a very good deal.
Although, things could change quickly, Guehi probably becomes even massive of a transfer if Konate leaves the club, with the Frenchman having just one year left on his contract.

That's a situation worth keeping an eye on, because in that case Liverpool may not only just sign Guehi but someone else as well.

While it is a very nice piece of business I'd hardly call it MASSIVE.
