Arne Slot almost has a clean bill of health at the moment which is exactly what he would have wanted.

Liverpool are entering a tough period in September with games every three to four days. In order to be able to go through that unscathed, Slot needs every single one of his players available in order to rotate and give them a rest.

At this moment in time, only Curtis Jones is a doubt for the Everton game on Saturday. However, even he is set to be available and ready for the squad.

It means Slot will have to make some tough decisions. Players like Giovanni Leoni may even have to be left out of the squad.

But that is what the Dutchman will want. He'll want to be making tough decisions rather than scratching his head at trying to come up with an eleven that he may not fully trust - something he might have had to do at times last season.

The truth is, he may have to make even more tough decisions in the coming weeks ahead. That's because another forgotten star is set to return from a long-awaited injury.

Liverpool have produced a lot of academy talents over the course of the last five years. Some of them have unfortunately had rotten luck with injuries.

Jayden Danns has struggled with a persistent problem due to a growth spurt for over a year now. Although he slowly seems to be making a comeback and even sat on the bench against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.

Stefan Bajcetic falls into this category as well.

The Spanish midfielder has had rotten luck with injures but he may now be on his way back.

Stefan Bajcetic finally set for injury return

The last time Liverpool's 20-year-old midfielder was in action was over four months ago back in May while playing for Las Palmas on loan.

At the time, Bajcetic suffered an injury which later forced him to be operated on in June. This meant he missed the entirety of pre-season.

He's now on the way back though and has been spotted doing gym work and even running on the grass with the first-team at the AXA training centre.

And U21 head-coach Rob Page has admitted he may not be far away from returning to action, suggesting he could play with Liverpool's second string side in order to gain match fitness.

“It's a possibility," Page said, as per This is Anfield journalist Sam Millne on X.

"It's about getting him back on the grass, it's about exposing him to minutes to get him back up to full fitness.”

This is positive news, it seems like we could soon see him in action. It's important not to forget just how highly rated Bajcetic was when he broke through into the first team a couple of seasons ago.

If he can rediscover that form, then Slot may have a really exciting and useful player on his hands heading into the second half of the season.
