Liverpool agree to sign NEXT Roberto Firmino
Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign their next Roberto Firmino.
Pass the ball to Bobby, and he will score. That's how the famous tune went around Anfield, and was sung with so much delight for so many years.

The truth is though, Firmino didn't just score when you passed him the ball, he did everything. He was a connector, the glue that made Jurgen Klopp's attack and midfield function in perfect harmony.
Blessed with incredible technical qualities, a footballing IQ that was by far and away one of the best in the league as well as an insatiate work ethic, Firmino was probably one of the first names on the teamsheet for many years at the club.
The reality is that since he departed in 2023, Liverpool are yet to properly replace him as well. Darwin Nunez has come in and Luis Diaz has played as a false nine as well, but no one has been able to live up to the quality of Firmino.
That's about to change though.

Richard Hughes is working on a huge summer transfer window for Liverpool. He's already recruited a plethora of exciting talent that includes Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.
But undoubtedly the most important position Liverpool have to address is the attack. As we've mentioned above, Nunez just hasn't quite worked out for Liverpool, the Reds need a new no.9 and it looks like they have already agreed a deal to bring in the perfect option.
According to L'Equipe Liverpool have struck an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt with Hugo Ekitike. The Reds have already agreed personal terms and a six year contract with the Frenchman which means this deal is getting closer to completion.
There's been a lot of takes about Ekitike, but almost all of them have missed the point as to why he's the perfect forward. He's been likened to a less prolific Alexander Isak.
But the best comparison is to Firmino. Ekitike has all the traits to be the club's next Firmino. He's a mixture of Isak and the Brazilian in his prime.
Just like Firmino, Ekitike's best asset is his link-up play. He creates chances, and is able to be the connector between the midfield and the attack.
His clever flicks and first touches have been eye-catching to watch at Frankfurt and it's exactly what made Firmino so brilliant to watch at Liverpool.
Ekitike will of course score goals as well. He's faster and perhaps even better than Firmino when it comes to one vs one situations, but at the same time he has all the best technical and facilitator qualities to the Brazilian.
On top of that, he's also a workhorse who will press and harass defenders and who will create chances just through winning the ball.

Expectations will be high on Ekitike but he has all the qualities to become a fan favourite and finally replace Firmino's absence in the squad.
