Desperate Arne Slot gesture SPOTTED vs Man City
Liverpool and Manchester City have both been in good form during their Premier League clash.
Both teams are throwing everything that they can at one another with neither of them holding back.
The Cityzens have had the best chances of the game so far but there has been the odd glimpse of class from Arne Slot's men.
Sunday's game is likely to be one of the most important of both teams' seasons, with each of them looking to chop away at the gap between themselves and Arsenal.
In fact, even Slot was trying to get the maximum amount of performance out of his team with some of his side-line gestures not going unnoticed.
Florian Wirtz and Cody Gakpo must start listening to Arne Slot
Although Florian Wirtz has started to come into his own over the last few weeks, Cody Gakpo is still failing to repay Slot's faith in him.
The Dutchman is often one of the first names on Liverpool's team sheet with fans questioning why he's being chosen over the likes of Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa.
There have been far too many times this season that the attacker has been caught trying to cut in and get in on goal with his stronger foot.
Most people thought that he'd thrive without Luis Diaz among Liverpool's ranks to compete for the left-wing spot but in reality, he's been far from his best.
And now, it seems like Slot is finally losing his patience with him after what he was spotted doing on the side lines.
"Slot keeps gesturing for Wirtz and Gakpo to be more central, particularly when Alisson has the ball," Adam Bate shared via the Sky Sports website.
"He is wary of that City box midfield and being dominated in the centre of the pitch."
Liverpool have a lot of making up to do this season
Even though Liverpool started the 2025-26 campaign as one of the Premier League's best teams, over the last few months, their form has massively dropped off.
Players such as Mohamed Salah and Gakpo have been miles off their best and, the sheet number of injuries that the Anfield outfit have suffered has massively hindered their chances of winning the top flight title.
Indeed, they still have the Champions League and the FA Cup to fight for but, when their recent form is taken into account, it's hard to see how the Reds will be able to beat some of Europe's best teams over the next few weeks.
And the fact that Slot's men clearly aren't listening to his instructions is also a massive worry.
There have been several times this season when fans have called for Slot's head due to Liverpool's poor results, but, if his players aren't listening to his instructions, how is he expected to win?
Gakpo must repay the faith shown in him by his fellow countryman soon, otherwise, some serious questions will need to be asked of the former PSV star.
There's just under half of the 2025-26 season left and, as long as the Reds listen to their manager, everything should run smoothly.
This is exactly what needs to happen, especially if they want to finish in the top four spots.
