An exciting winger has confirmed he wants to join Liverpool.

There's a lot of focus on the club's lack of depth in defence. Rightfully so, Liverpool are really short of options and they could be even shorter in depth come the summer if Ibrahima Konate doesn't extend his contract and Andy Robertson leaves on a free.

Not to mention Liverpool are also definitely open to selling Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas.

But while there is rightly a focus on defenders. Liverpool also need to add depth to their attacking department.

The club needs more wingers.

After Luis Diaz left Anfield for Bayern Munich, he hasn't really been replaced. Mo Salah could now also leave come the end of the season and if he does that would mean Liverpool needing to sign at least two wingers, if not more.

So, if you aspire to join the Reds and you're a talented winger, it's a good time to be playing football at the highest level.

The chances are, Liverpool's scouts are probably following you.

That is definitely the case for Brajan Gruda, who plays for Brighton and who is a German U21 international.

The 21-year-old winger has six goal contributions in just under 900 minutes of action for Brighton, and he's starting to grow and develop into an absolute star.

Gruda is a very good one vs one player, he's relatively quick and easy on the eye.

And it looks like he has big ambitions as well. In an interview with Sky Germany, he confirmed that he dreams of joining Liverpool among a few other giant clubs in European football.

“My biggest dream is to play in the Champions League and be a full international. I want to play for a top club like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, or Liverpool," Gruda said.

Is he ready to join Liverpool right now? Well, those are big steps to make. But in the future, Gruda is still very young and he absolutely has the potential to reach that stage.

He's at a club in Brighton who like to develop young players and help them reach world-class levels.

Gruda has shown in flashes he can be a really impactful player. He just needs to be better in the final third and take more of his chances as they come.

What goes in his favour is that he can play on either side of the wing and even through the middle as an attacking midfielder.

That versatility is exactly what Liverpool look for in a young player.

So, he's someone to keep an eye on. Clearly he's got Liverpool as one of his dream destinations and that will work in Richard Hughes' favour if he ever wants to sign the German winger.
